Fuengirola in southern Spain is the third major high-rise resort heading south from Malaga and is one of the most popular destinations for British tourists to the Costa del Sol. The average temperature here is 18ºC with more than 300 days of sunshine. The impressive beaches spread the whole length of the resort all the way from Gibraltar to Nerja, and there are plenty of water sports, seafood restaurants and familiar pubs and clubs to keep you at the beach. Visit the Moorish castle of Sohail or the weekly market that moves up and down the coast. There are also more than 70 golf courses, sailing, horse riding and dolphin safaris. If you fancy a trip into the real Spain then there are many excursions to Ronda, Seville, Cordoba, Granada and the Straits of Gibraltar to visit Tangier in Morocco.
