Harry Potter casts its spell on US box office

The penultimate movie in the British phenomenon, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, beat all box office competition  this weekend with  a cool 125.1 million dollars making it a Harry Potter franchise record.

Overseas box office added 205 million dollars to the mix bringing its total tally to a whopping 330.1 million dollars.

The young stars of Harry Potter: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint have made whistle stop red carpet appearances around the world to promote the movie.

Part 2 is the last in the series and will be released later next year. But will it be the last we see of Harry Potter?
