I am British and work in the entertainment industry in Hollywood. Shutting down the UK Film Council is unforgivable and short sighted. All British talent will move to Hollywood. All foreign film production will forget about the UK. How does this help the UK economy? The British could be proud of the films produced in recent years but now we will return to Thatcher days of creative depression.
