The Evolution of Andrew Andrew’s comedic genius at Laemmle’s Sunset 5

The Evolution of Andrew Andrews will be making its Los Angeles Premiere at the Dances With Films Festival on June 10th.

Andrew Andrews is the brainchild of comedic duo Will Klipstine and Amy Mills. Directed by Klipstine, this charming, odd-ball comedy looks at what it takes for a 30-year-old boy to grow up.  Andrew is a sheltered son of a studio mogul and after he ruins daddy’s full length feature film in one morning, daddy  cuts him off.  Andrew is then thrust into the big bad world of Los Angeles, where comedy naturally ensues.

This is the first feature film for Singing River Productions, the company formed by Mills and Klipstine.  “The fact that we’ll now be premiering in LA and taking part in a festival that truly celebrates the independent filmmaker is a great start,” says Mills.  The Dances With Films festival makes a point to seek out and give attention to honest to God indies, without any big name backers or stars.”

The film had its world premiere at the first annual Houston Comedy Film Festival in December, 2009 where it was a crowd favorite. Part of what attracts so many to the film is the obvious star power of the lead, Klipstine.  There’s also a great connection between Klipstine and Mills, who plays Andrew’s eventual love interest in the film.

The Evolution of Andrew Andrews will be playing at the Laemmle Sunset 5 Cinema on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles at 7:15pm on Thursday, June 10th.

The 13th annual Dances With Films is the only film festival in the US mandating that all competition films have no known actors, writers, directors or producers. The festival runs from 3rd – 10th June.
