Oscar Noir: 1940s Writing Nominees from Hollywood’s Dark Side

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts are running an exciting summer noir series called  “Oscar Noir: 1940s Writing Nominees from Hollywood’s Dark Side.” Each film is introduced by classic and contemporary Hollywood screenwriters, such as Lawrence Kasdan, Nicholas Meyer and Callie Khouri.

The series starts May 10th with “The Maltese Falcon” and ends August 30th with “White Heat.” Full listing follows and tickets can be purchased online on the Academy website:
