Oscars 2009: Heath Ledger Wins Best Supporting Actor


The best Supporting Actor was introduced by five past winners:

Alan Arkin, Joel Grey, Cuba Gooding JR, Christopher Walkin, Kevin Kline. Heath Ledger won for his performance as The Joker in “The Dark Knight.”

Heath Ledger’s parents and sister accepted the award on his behalf. “Tonight we are choosing to celebrate. We proudly accept this award on behalf of your beautiful Matilda.”
